Live deals: not yet — posted here when they go live
As of the date on the byline above, no Black Friday or Cyber Monday sunglasses deals are live, and none is listed here. Black Friday 2026 falls on Friday, November 27, and Cyber Monday on Monday, November 30. If the brands follow the schedule they ran in 2025, early-access windows open around a week and a half before that and Amazon’s own event opens roughly eight days before Black Friday itself; the dates section below has the specifics and the sources.
When deals go live we will list them in this section with three things each: the pair, the retailer, and how the sale price compares with the dated price our tracker showed for that pair in the weeks before. A discount that only exists against an inflated “was” price is not a deal, and having months of ordinary-day prices on file is how we tell the difference. Until then, the honest state of this section is empty.
One live number we can give you today, from our own feed: as of September 18, 2026, 15 of the 87 pairs we track show an Amazon-reported markdown against a list price — 13 of 48 budget-tier pairs, 2 of 16 mid-tier and 0 of 23 premium. That figure is recomputed daily from the same feed as the buy buttons, and it is the baseline November will be measured against.
What historically discounts in November — and what rarely does
The pattern below is drawn from brand pages we could read directly and from dated third-party reporting of what past sales actually contained. It is a description of the last few Novembers, not a promise about this one; the sources are listed at the bottom of the page, and where a brand’s own Black Friday page would not load for us we say so rather than paraphrase it from memory.
Ray-Ban: yes, historically — up to half off select styles
Ray-Ban’s 2025 event was reported as “up to 50% off select styles”, with loyalty early access from November 18 to 20 and the public sale from Friday, November 21 through Cyber Monday, December 1, with exclusions for gift cards, outlet purchases and already-promoted items. The word doing the work is select: it is not a sitewide half-off, and the standard Wayfarer and Aviator trims, which are the ones most gifters want, are the ones to check specifically when the list appears. Oakley: yes, and the most consistent pattern we found
Oakley is the brand with the clearest multi-year record. The 2025 structure, as reported, was 30% off most current, full-priced sunglasses and 50% off select clearance eyewear, with early access November 18 to 20 and the public sale from November 21 through December 1. A fan-site archive of the 2023 and 2024 sales shows the same two tiers both years: core models such as the Holbrook, Frogskins and Gascan at 30% off, and a select tier at 50%. The same archive notes Sunglass Hut running the same schedule at up to 50% off, and an additional 10% on Cyber Monday in one recent year. Costa: yes, on select frames
Costa’s 2025 event was reported as up to 50% off but explicitly focused on “select products rather than sitewide markdowns”, with most discounted items in a 20–50% band and the usual exclusions for new arrivals, limited editions and custom orders. Dated reporting of Black Friday 2024 on Costa’s own site shows the same shape: core frames such as the Rincon and Blackfin at 30% off and one select model at 50%. So a Costa is worth waiting for if the specific frame you want is on the list; it is not worth assuming that it will be.
Maui Jim: rarely a price cut — and the most recent offer was a hat
This is the brand gifters most often assume will be discounted and most often is not. Maui Jim’s own Black Friday–Cyber Monday page, still live when we read it, carries its most recent offer in full: a Maui Jim hat with the purchase of the Keha or Keha Asian Fit — two styles, and a gift with purchase rather than a price cut. The brand’s sale page is titled “30% off select styles” and describes its promotions as “limited time, limited quantities”. The honest reading is that Maui Jim discounts a rotating handful of styles at various points in the year and holds price on the rest. Budget brands: they are on sale most of the year
The tier that includes goodr, Knockaround, SUNGAIT, Duco and SOJOS behaves differently. On the ordinary mid-September weekend we researched this page, Knockaround’s own homepage banner read “20% off sitewide” with a code, alongside a first-order discount and a clearance section at up to 50% off. That is not a Black Friday pattern; it is a permanent one. Our own price feed says the same thing from the Amazon side: the markdowns it is reporting today are concentrated in the budget tier, as the live count above shows. A November discount on a pair in this band is a few dollars, which is real, but it is not a reason to wait if the person needs sunglasses now.
Sport and specialist brands: data unavailable
We looked for a documented Black Friday pattern for Tifosi, Julbo, Hobie, Flying Fisherman and the other performance brands on this site and did not find one we could read and cite — no brand page, and no dated reporting of past sale contents. That is not evidence they do not discount; it is an absence of evidence, and we would rather leave the cell blank than fill it. If we can verify a pattern before November we will add it here; otherwise we will simply report what they do when it happens.
Buy now or wait for November? By product class
- Budget polarized pairs (goodr, Knockaround, SUNGAIT, Duco, SOJOS) — buy now. The tier promotes year-round and the absolute saving in November is small. If the recipient needs a pair for a trip, a season or a stocking, there is no good reason to wait. Our gifts under $50 page is built around exactly this tier.
- Oakley — wait if you can. Three consecutive Novembers of 30% off core models is the most dependable pattern in the category, and on a frame in this price band that is meaningful money. Check the Holbrook, Frogskins and Radar lines first when the sale opens.
- Ray-Ban and Costa — wait, with a caveat. Both have run up-to-50%-off-select events, but select means the frame you want may not be included. Decide which specific model you want now, so that on the day you are checking one listing rather than browsing a sale.
- Maui Jim — do not wait for a price cut. The most recent Black Friday offer was a gift with purchase on two styles. Buy when you are ready, from an authorized retailer, because Maui Jim’s warranty depends on it.
- Prescription and fit-over pairs — buy now. Prescription orders are routinely excluded from sitewide codes (Knockaround’s own terms say so), and fit-overs are budget-tier items where the saving would be trivial. Our fit-over roundup covers the field.

- Sport and specialist brands (Tifosi, Julbo, Hobie) — no recommendation either way. We have no verified pattern, so we will not pretend to one.
How to tell whether a Black Friday sunglasses deal is real
Five checks, in the order that catches the most problems:
- Compare against an ordinary-day price, not the “was” price. The struck-through figure on a sale listing is chosen by the seller. The buy buttons on this site show what a pair cost on a dated, ordinary day; that is the number to beat.
- Confirm the SKU is the one you think it is. The standard Ray-Ban Wayfarer and Aviator and most Oakley Holbrook trims are not polarized. A deep discount on the non-polarized trim is not a deal on the polarized one. Our polarized vs non-polarized guide explains what you would be giving up.
- Read the exclusions. New arrivals, limited editions, custom and prescription orders and already-discounted items are excluded from most of the events reported above. If the frame you want is a recent release, it is probably not in the sale.
- Buy from an authorized seller. Ray-Ban, Oakley, Costa and Maui Jim all condition their two-year warranties on proof of purchase from an authorized dealer, and Black Friday is peak season for counterfeit eyewear on marketplaces. Our how to spot fake sunglasses guide covers the tells.
- Check the lens spec, not the discount. A pair with no stated UV rating is not a bargain at any price. Every pick on this site states UV400 or 100% UVA/UVB; a sale listing that will not is the one to skip.
Key dates for 2026, and what last year’s schedule looked like
Black Friday 2026 is Friday, November 27; Cyber Monday is Monday, November 30. For reference, the 2025 schedule as reported ran: loyalty or member early access at Ray-Ban, Oakley and Costa from Tuesday, November 18 to Thursday, November 20; public sales at all three from Friday, November 21 through Cyber Monday, December 1; and Amazon’s own Black Friday Week and Cyber Monday event from November 20 at 12:01 a.m. Pacific through December 1 — twelve days, opening more than a week before Black Friday itself. We do not know that 2026 will follow the same calendar. It is the pattern, not a prediction, and this section will be updated with the real dates when the brands publish them.
How this page will be updated
The evergreen sections above stand as written. When deals go live, the live deals section is updated with verified entries and the byline date changes; when the event ends, the entries are removed rather than left to go stale, in the same way an expired price on this site disappears rather than lingering.
